App License
We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Telos on compatible devices that you own or control, subject to these Terms and the App Store terms of service.
System Requirements and Availability
Telos requires iOS 17.6 or later and is designed primarily for iPhone. While the app may function on iPad, some features may be optimized for iPhone use. Feature availability may vary based on device capabilities, operating system version, and regional restrictions.
AI Features and Limitations
The AI Coach feature in Telos:
- Requires an active internet connection to function
- May provide varying responses based on input and system capabilities
- Is intended for general informational purposes only
- Is not a substitute for professional advice (medical, legal, financial, etc.)
- Should not be relied upon for critical decision-making
We are continuously improving our AI capabilities, and functionality may change over time.
Content and Intellectual Property
You retain ownership of the content you create in Telos, such as journal entries and goals. However:
- For AI-generated content, you receive a license to use such content while acknowledging the limitations of AI-generated materials
- We retain all rights to the app, including its design, code, and integrated features
- You may not reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the app
Prohibited Activities
When using Telos, you agree not to:
- Use the app for any illegal purpose or in violation of any local, state, national, or international law
- Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the app
- Use the AI features to generate harmful, offensive, or illegal content
- Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the app or servers
- Bypass or attempt to bypass any security features of the app
Disclaimer for Wellness Features
Telos offers features related to personal development, meditation, and wellbeing. These features:
- Are not substitutes for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
- Should not be used to diagnose or treat any health problem or disease
- Are not intended to replace the relationship with a qualified healthcare professional
Always consult with a qualified healthcare professional before starting any wellness program or if you have questions regarding a medical condition.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages resulting from your use or inability to use the app
- We are not responsible for any loss of data resulting from app malfunction, device issues, or failure to back up your data
- Our total liability for any claims related to the app shall not exceed the amount you paid for the app (if any)
Support and Updates
We may deploy updates to Telos periodically to add features, fix bugs, or improve performance. Some updates may be mandatory to continue using the app. We do not guarantee that the app will always be updated to work with the latest operating system versions.
Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the updated Terms on this site and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the app at any time for violation of these Terms or for any other reason. Upon termination, your license to use the app will end, and you should cease all use of the app.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Canada, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
